About this role
An RN Cath Lab opening at AdventHealth Central Texas supports invasive cardiology procedures at the hospital campus in Killeen, Texas.
### What you'll do
- Perform scrub, record, and circulate roles for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular cases
- Assess patient physical, psychosocial, and clinical status; develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications pre-, intra-, and post-procedure; demonstrate competency in moderate sedation
- Operate x-ray and hemodynamic monitoring equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols
- Document all procedures accurately and legibly in accordance with department and hospital policy
- Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel per Texas Board of Nursing guidelines and hospital policy
### What we're looking for
- Current Texas RN license (required)
- BLS and ACLS certification (required)
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- 1+ year of Cath Lab or critical care nursing experience
- EKG competency and knowledge of critical care medications
- Ability to achieve independence in scrub, record, and circulate positions and to train new staff
