About this role
A PRN PET/CT Technologist role at AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, performing nuclear medicine imaging and radiopharmaceutical administration in a day-shift hospital setting.
### What you'll do
- Operate radiation detection and measurement equipment to capture radionuclide concentration images of targeted body areas
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under radiologist direction
- Review patient requisitions and charts with the radiologist prior to initiating exams
- Explain test procedures to patients to ensure understanding and compliance
- Monitor contaminated articles and bed linens with a Geiger counter to control radioactive spread
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in a PET/CT training program or related field
- 1+ years of position-related experience required; 2+ years preferred
- ARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) credential required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) credential preferred
- Experience in both PET and CT modalities preferred
### What's included
- Pay range: $29.04–$54.02 per hour (~$60,400–$112,360 annualized equivalent)
- PRN/per-diem schedule with day shifts
