About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a contract Med-Surg RN for night shifts (36 hrs/week) at their inpatient facility in Denver, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and families to support timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights and needs are respected throughout the care continuum.
- Maintain safe handoff communication, follow CDC isolation guidelines, and enforce infection control standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required); ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and abstract reasoning skills to evaluate and revise plans of care.
- Proficiency in basic computer navigation and fluency in written and spoken English.

- Contract rate of $68.60/hour on night shifts.
