About this role
AdventHealth Wauchula is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg Medical Unit in Wauchula, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments accurately per physician orders and nursing policies.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations, including Code Blue activations and life-threatening dysrhythmias.
- Coordinate patient transitions and discharge planning, including liaison with post-hospital care providers and community resources.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record, including allergies, lab data, diagnostics, and patient education.
- Maintain a safe patient environment by following CDC sterile technique, isolation protocols, PPE use, and hand hygiene policies.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).
- Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
- At least 1 year of acute care experience (preferred).
- Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills with ability to exercise independent professional judgment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; physical ability to assist with lifting and moving patients.
