About this role

AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Med/Surg unit in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication. - Respond to code situations promptly, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS/CPR certification required. - EKG interpretation ability per unit requirements. - 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract-reasoning skills to assess and revise patient care plans. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hr ($65,582–$108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being and mental health resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth DeLand is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network serving communities across the United States.
