About this role
A full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse role at AdventHealth Port Charlotte in Port Charlotte, Florida, delivering direct patient care within a hospital-based cardiac catheterization laboratory setting.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors prior to and during cath lab procedures.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and hospital standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions throughout the care episode.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedural expectations, medications, and post-procedure self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, procedural staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate seamless patient care and respond promptly to code situations.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- EKG interpretation skills appropriate to patient population.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking abilities with proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
