About this role

AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist II for its laboratory services team in Rome, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Perform venipuncture and microtainer (capillary) specimen collection with accurate labeling and order entry - Prioritize STAT and alert specimens ahead of routine testing to support timely patient care - Troubleshoot phlebotomy service concerns and assist leadership with daily workload coordination and workflow improvement - Train and mentor laboratory staff and students, supporting orientation and competency documentation for new employees - Transport hazardous waste to secure storage areas following Chemical Hygiene, Infection Control, PPE, and hazardous material handling protocols ### What we're looking for - Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience performing venipuncture and capillary collection - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal phlebotomy training program preferred - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask independently and within a team - PBT(ASCP) certification preferred; BLS/CPR certification preferred ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $15.43–$24.68 (approximately $32,094–$51,334 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., four days per week Monday–Friday; no weekends, no holidays, no call ### About the practice AdventHealth Redmond is a community hospital located in Rome, Georgia, operating as part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based not-for-profit network serving patients across multiple states.
