About this role

AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a part-time on-call weekend Surgical Technologist at its facility in Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Set up and maintain the sterile field with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications required for each procedure - Scrub, gown, and glove surgeons and assistants; pass instruments and supplies throughout procedures - Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulator before the operation and before incision closure - Handle surgical specimens with 100% accuracy and assist with sterile draping - Recognize and respond immediately to emergency situations in the OR - Assist with terminal cleaning of the room and turnover preparation for the next patient ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST via NBSTSA or TS-C via NCCT) — required - Current BLS/CPR certification — required - Completion of a technical or vocational surgical technology program — required - Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and sterile field setup - Ability to anticipate critical emergencies as part of a Specialty Call Team - 2+ years of experience as a certified surgical tech (preferred); proficiency in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $24.01–$44.65/hr ($49,941–$92,872 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is a full-service facility located at 16950 W 86th St in Lenexa, Kansas, operated under the AdventHealth system — one of the largest not-for-profit Protestant health systems in the United States.
