About this role
AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a part-time OR RN for on-call weekend shifts at its surgical facility in Lenexa, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive pre- and peri-operative assessments covering physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with OR standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and ancillary staff to coordinate and optimize patient care throughout the surgical episode.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions as required.
### What we're looking for
- Active RN license in Kansas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills for high-acuity OR environments.
- Ability to supervise and delegate care to other members of the healthcare team.
