About this role
A part-time PACU RN position on-call weekends at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center in Lenexa, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Monitor and manage post-anesthesia patients through comprehensive physiological, psychological, and developmental assessments upon admission to the PACU.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions throughout the recovery phase.
- Develop and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support recovery and discharge readiness.
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and ancillary teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions and optimize outcomes.
- Respond promptly and effectively to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions as needed.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- CCNS or critical care certification preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with ability to assess patients and revise care plans based on outcomes.
