AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Clinical Dietitian at its acute care hospital in Ocala, Florida, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
### What you'll do
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, including anthropometric measurements, medical record review, and patient interviews to identify nutrition risks and malnutrition criteria.
- Develop and implement nutrition care plans, including orders, education, counseling, and referrals, using evidence-based, culturally sensitive approaches.
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals on nutrition plans of care.
- Monitor and evaluate care plans to track progress toward nutrition goals and optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise dietetic interns, dietetic technicians, and registration-eligible dietitians; contribute to research and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain timely, accurate electronic health record documentation and respond promptly to internal communications.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics (required); completed dietetic internship or traineeship preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of hospital-based experience preferred; registration-eligible candidates considered for generalist positions.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and effective clinical communication.
- Ability to place feeding tubes and perform indirect calorimetry studies.
