About this role
AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time Emergency Department Nurse Manager (RN) to lead nursing operations in its ED located in Zephyrhills, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Oversee staff performance, hiring, orientation, scheduling, and disciplinary processes for the ED nursing team.
- Manage department budget and resource utilization, applying cost-saving measures and healthcare finance principles.
- Lead performance and quality improvement initiatives, implementing evidence-based practice changes and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and specialty standards.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff, supporting ongoing education, clinical competency, and career growth.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and refine policies, procedures, and process improvement plans.
- Maintain clear communication with patients, families, staff, and physicians to ensure patient-centered care delivery.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of critical care or emergency nursing experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; TNCC preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
- 2+ years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
