About this role

AdventHealth Orlando is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department Float Pool at its flagship Orlando, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. - Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed. - Interpret EKGs and monitor lab trends, reporting abnormal results to the care team for timely action. - Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries. - Float to appropriate departments within scope, skill, and credentials as directed. - Respond to emergencies, coordinate stabilization efforts, and participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida RN license (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred. - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all required). - Proficiency with emergency equipment: IV insertion, central lines, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records (Epic/Pyxis). - EKG interpretation competency per department requirements. - 1+ year of acute care hospital experience (preferred). ### What's included - Pay range: $32.76–$57.47/hr ($68,141–$119,538 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources, including mental health support and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Orlando is a 1,368-bed faith-based quaternary medical center at the heart of AdventHealth's national network, serving Central Florida with Level I Trauma and comprehensive emergency services.
