About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations at its hospital campus in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Develop departmental goals and objectives, oversee clinical pharmacy services and trials, and participate in systems development and monitoring.
- Design and maintain organizational structure, policies, and staffing; recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy team members.
- Plan and implement a quality improvement program that meets DNV, ISO, or Joint Commission Medication Management accreditation standards.
- Ensure security of all controlled medications and regulatory compliance for medication purchasing, acquisition, and disbursement across floors, clinics, and satellite sites.
- Prepare, review, and present quarterly statistical and financial reports; assist in budget development and monitoring.
- Analyze cost, utilization, and quality of pharmaceutical programs and contracts, then develop and manage initiatives to address identified opportunities.
### What we're looking for
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required; Master's degree also required.
- Active Florida Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license required.
- 5+ years of pharmacy leadership experience required; prior role as hospital pharmacy director or assistant director preferred.
- PGY1 residency (or equivalent experience) preferred; PGY2 residency preferred.
- Expertise in pharmaceutical management of value-based contracts and Medication Therapy Management programs required.
- Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing technology and ASHP National Practice Standards preferred.
