Patient Care Technician - PRN Days PCU

A Patient Care Technician (PRN Days) supports nursing staff in delivering direct patient care on the Progressive Care Unit at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Perform and document vital signs accurately in the electronic medical record under direction of a licensed nurse - Carry out patient care duties in accordance with department policies and procedures, including appropriate response in clinical emergencies - Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, and enforce facility safety regulations - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff on the PCU - Conduct point-of-care testing based on verified competency and hospital policy - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required) - 1+ year of applicable PCT experience (preferred) - CNA certification (preferred) - CPCT/A certification (preferred) - EMT certification (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $16.26–$26.02/hour (~$33,821–$54,122 annualized) - PRN day-shift scheduling flexibility ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-service acute care hospital located at 9100 W 74th St in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system.
