About this role
AdventHealth Waterman is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular ICU on the night shift in Tavares, Florida, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for critically ill cardiovascular patients.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and unit standards.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
- Interpret EKG findings and apply critical-care clinical judgment to adjust the plan of care based on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate safe, high-quality patient care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- CCNS, CCRN-E, or TNCC certification preferred.
- Strong EKG interpretation skills and ability to apply abstract clinical reasoning in a fast-paced ICU environment.
