About this role

A part-time Medical Laboratory Assistant role at AdventHealth Porter (formerly Portercare Adventist Health System) in Denver, Colorado, supporting clinical laboratory operations across specimen collection and testing workflows. ### What you'll do - Perform venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab, and other specimen collections with accurate identification and labeling - Centrifuge, aliquot, and distribute samples to appropriate testing areas, including loading specimens onto analyzers - Generate and report waived and moderate-complexity test results under qualified supervision - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation, documenting all activities per protocol - Monitor test system performance and initiate corrective action when results fall outside acceptable parameters ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential (preferred) - Medical Lab Associate certification (MLA-ASCP) (preferred) - Previous clinical laboratory experience (preferred) - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills - Basic computer proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately ### What's included - Pay range: $19.58–$31.32/hr (~$40,726–$65,146 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Porter is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and care sites across multiple states.
