About this role
AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for night-weekend shifts at its inpatient facility in Port Charlotte, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients and document all outcomes accurately.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to perform abstract clinical reasoning.
- EKG competency and advanced life support certifications as applicable to assigned unit.
