Medical Laboratory Science II Night

A Medical Laboratory Scientist II (Night Shift) role at AdventHealth Sanford ER in Sanford, FL, performing high-complexity laboratory testing in a fast-paced emergency department setting. ### What you'll do - Perform pre-analytical activities including specimen collection, biological specimen processing, equipment maintenance, and supply management - Execute laboratory tests and analytical procedures accurately per established standard operating procedures - Conduct post-analytical activities including result reporting and technical support to clinical staff - Participate in proficiency testing in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations - Serve as preceptor for new employees and students, facilitating orientation and documenting training progress - Support laboratory and hospital performance improvement initiatives and assist with evaluation of new techniques and procedures ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, medical technology, or equivalent coursework from an accredited institution - 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred) - Completion of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited clinical laboratory training program or equivalent documented training - Strong critical thinking, analytical, and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently, adapt to varying priorities, and direct workflow with minimal supervision - Proficiency with computer systems for patient documentation, testing records, and Microsoft Office ### What's included - $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates (1-year commitment required) - $3,000 relocation assistance for qualified candidates - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Sanford ER is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care. This night-shift position (7 PM–7:30 AM) covers Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, every other Monday, and occasional weekends.
