About this role
AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, Florida is hiring a part-time Respiratory Therapist to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation services on a Thursday/Thursday day-shift schedule (7am–5pm).
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized pulmonary rehabilitation prescriptions based on physician referrals.
- Monitor vital signs during exercise sessions and adjust treatment plans in response to patient responses.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment, including readiness of oxygen supplies and emergency equipment.
- Complete all required clinical documentation — initial evaluations, weekly summaries, and discharge summaries — to support reimbursement and goal tracking.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary team conferences and communicate significant clinical findings to the pulmonary rehab team and referring physicians.
- Identify candidates for smoking cessation counseling and support process improvement initiatives aligned with department goals.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required).
- Current ACLS and BLS/CPR certifications (required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing rehabilitative therapy to pulmonary patients, or completion of a formal pulmonary rehabilitation training program (preferred).
- Strong documentation skills with working knowledge of payer approval and reimbursement processes.
