A BMO/Radiology Technologist role at AdventHealth's Centra Care University location in Orlando, Florida, performing diagnostic imaging in an outpatient urgent care setting.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and operate radiographic equipment for medical diagnosis and treatment
- Select appropriate ionizing factors, adjust radiographic controls, and position patients to capture diagnostic images
- Process film, review x-rays for image clarity, and retake images as needed to meet quality standards
- Maintain x-ray film files, patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports
- Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure equipment meets regulatory and company standards
- Stock radiology and medical supplies, rotate film stock, and verify correct charges on procedure slips
### What we're looking for
- Active Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree in radiological technology from an accredited program (preferred)
- At least 1 year of basic x-ray operator experience (preferred)
- Willingness to float to other FHMG practices as patient volume requires
- Effective English communication skills — reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
