A Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner role focused on the Emergency Department at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Design, implement, and coordinate orientation programs for new nursing staff using ANPD standards and the NPD Practice Model
- Develop and manage competency validation activities for new graduates, experienced nurses, and ancillary staff, including simulation and objective/subjective performance tools
- Lead evidence-based practice initiatives using PDSA methodology and support quality improvement projects across the ED
- Create continuing education programs rooted in adult learning principles that address identified practice gaps and regulatory requirements
- Support and coach preceptors at the unit level and promote nursing certification and advanced education
- Collaborate with academic partners for student placements and maintain a positive clinical learning environment
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Working knowledge of ANA/ANPD scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards including CMS and OSHA
- Experience as a preceptor and/or previous formal or informal teaching experience preferred
- 1+ year of experience as an NPD Practitioner preferred
