About this role
AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time CVOR Registered Nurse to join its surgical services team in Port Charlotte, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments per prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection-control and safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IV placement, wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Monitor patient progress continuously and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance patient safety and care efficiency.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical experience required; 1 year of OR/surgery experience preferred.
- BLS certification required; CNOR, PALS, or NRP preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR charting and standard surgical unit equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
