About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Critical Care Paramedic for night shifts at its Fruitland Park, Florida facility, supporting a critical care transport team operating under EMS Medical Director protocols.
### What you'll do
- Provide primary patient care during approved critical care and advanced life support transports within scope of practice and EMS protocols
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care interventions; monitor and communicate patient conditions and treatments throughout transport
- Operate emergency vehicles safely across varied weather and emergent conditions in compliance with established safety standards
- Inspect, maintain, and restock medications, supplies, and equipment each shift to ensure constant transport readiness
- Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses and clinical interventions as appropriate
- Complete accurate, compliant patient and departmental documentation for every encounter
### What we're looking for
- Licensed Paramedic (PARA) — required
- Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, FP-C, CCP-C, or equivalent) or completion of an approved CCP curriculum — required
- 1+ year of advanced life support transport experience — required; 3–5 years preferred
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications — required
- Valid driver's license or CDL and CEVO or EVOC certification — required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field — preferred
