About this role
AdventHealth Littleton is hiring a PRN Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for its Forensics program at its campus in Littleton, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive forensic and clinical assessments addressing physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors for patients presenting after assault or trauma.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in accordance with patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Provide therapeutic communication and emotional support to patients and families throughout the forensic examination process.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Collaborate with medical staff, ancillary departments, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive forensic patient care.
### What we're looking for
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Ability to report on-site within one hour of being called in from on-call status.
- Availability for both day and night on-call shifts, including at least one weekend shift (Friday–Sunday) per month.
### What's included
- On-call standby pay of $5/hour during 12-hour on-call shifts.
- Time-and-a-half pay based on base rate when called in.
- Base hourly rate range: $34.26–$59.24/hour.
- Minimum on-call commitment of 48 hours per month.
