About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth supporting an Internal Medicine clinic in Bolingbrook, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, collect labs, initiate testing, and document results in the practice management system - Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation at the time of service - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Maintain OSHA compliance and follow all organizational safety policies and procedures ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of medical assistant or clinical experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record documentation ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $18.51–$29.62 (~$38,501–$61,609 annualized) - Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth operates a network of outpatient clinics across the Chicago metro area, integrating faith-based whole-person care with academic medicine. The Bolingbrook Internal Medicine clinic at 396 Remington Blvd serves adult patients across a Mon–Fri schedule with one Saturday morning per month.
