About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time ICU Registered Nurse for weekend night shifts at AdventHealth Glenoaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized critical care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Perform accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (Cerner/Epic).
- Apply EKG interpretation skills and advanced critical care competencies as required by the unit.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required); CCNS, TNCC, or FCCS (preferred).
- Critical care clinical skills as defined by unit standards.
- Proficiency with EKG interpretation; prior Cerner or Epic EMR experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hour (~$69,888–$117,562 annualized at 36 hrs/week).

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Glenoaks is a faith-based community hospital located in Glendale Heights, Illinois, operated under the AdventHealth network in partnership with UChicago Medicine. The ICU team works a concentrated 36-hour weekend schedule (Friday–Sunday, 7:00 pm–7:30 am), providing intensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
