About this role
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) at AdventHealth Gordon supports bedside care on the Rome Pavilion inpatient unit in Calhoun, Georgia, working Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.
### What you'll do
- Deliver direct patient care and treatments in accordance with facility policies, adapting to patient age, condition, mobility, and cultural needs.
- Support patient safety by following isolation protocols, proper PPE use, hand hygiene standards, and maintaining a clean care environment.
- Assist the registered nurse–led care team by identifying patient needs, obtaining nursing histories, and promptly reporting abnormalities.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members, including accurate documentation of all care provided.
- Respond appropriately in clinical situations and actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required).
- One of the following credentials: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A), or EMT certification (required).
- 1+ year of PCT experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
- Previous bedside, unit secretary, or monitor technician experience considered equivalent.
