Monitor Technician Full Time Days Lenexa City Center

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a full-time Monitor Technician for day shifts at its Lenexa City Center campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Continuously observe cardiac telemetry monitors and identify normal and abnormal EKG patterns - Promptly notify nursing staff of any rhythm abnormalities requiring clinical attention - Maintain and verify that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift; troubleshoot equipment as needed - Document findings accurately and maintain the telemetry logbook per department policy - Participate in performance improvement activities and support departmental quality standards - Complete Virtual Patient Observation training and a competency skill check-off list within 90 days ### What we're looking for - Monitor technician experience or successful completion of an equivalent monitor tech training program - Basic EKG/arrhythmia identification course completion or equivalent knowledge - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; accurate typing and documentation skills - Ability to work a flexible schedule including rotating weekends ### What's included - Pay range: $16.26–$26.02/hr ($33,821–$54,122 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving the greater Kansas City metro area with a focus on whole-person care.
