About this role
AdventHealth South Orlando is hiring a full-time Registered Dietitian for its Metabolic Health Institute, located in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, including anthropometric measurements, medical record review, and patient interviews to identify nutrition risks and malnutrition criteria.
- Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans using evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for patients with complex disease processes.
- Deliver culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education, and place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals during interdisciplinary rounds to coordinate nutrition plans of care.
- Enter nutrition orders and complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record per Medical Staff policy.
- Supervise dietetic interns, dietetic technicians, and new employees, and contribute to research, quality improvement, and performance initiatives.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, required.
- Proficiency in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrient analysis, and evidence-based practice.
- Competency with electronic health record systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across care teams.
