About this role
AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for its Urgent Care clinic in Calhoun, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
- Assist with minor procedures, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the designated system.
- Administer medications, collect labs, and support closure of care gaps during patient visits.
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet instructions in a clear and accurate manner.
- Monitor inventory and ensure medical equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and functional.
- Travel as needed to support staffing across clinic locations and maintain OSHA compliance.
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMAC, or NRCMA (one required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment and exercise sound clinical judgment.

- Pay range: $16.36–$26.17/hr (~$34,029–$54,434 annualized).
