About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Emergency Department RN for night shifts at AdventHealth Glenoaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments evaluating patients' physical, mental, and emotional health in an emergency department setting. - Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient responses. - Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists. - Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in real time based on outcomes. - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record. - Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team throughout the treatment process. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP per unit requirements. - 12-lead EKG experience (1+ year required); acute hospital experience preferred. - CEN and TNCC certifications preferred. - Proficiency in acute-care nursing skills; unit-specific competency pathway completed during orientation. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $33.60–$56.52 (approximately $69,888–$117,562 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Glenoaks is part of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, a faith-based health system serving the greater Chicago area with a mission centered on whole-person care.
