About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a PRN Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist I at its Columbus, North Carolina facility to perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular sonography studies. ### What you'll do - Perform routine and complex echocardiogram and vascular ultrasound studies, adapting each procedure to the patient's individual clinical situation. - Operate ultrasound systems and utilize measurement packages to assess anatomy, function, and pathology according to standard of care. - Document testing conditions, observations, results, and patient demographics accurately in the medical record. - Communicate abnormal findings to reading physicians and flag studies requiring timely interpretation. - Handle scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, coding, billing, and reimbursement activities for the department. - Maintain clean, safe, and stocked procedure rooms, storage areas, and equipment throughout the shift. ### What we're looking for - Active RDCS, RCS, RVT, or RVS credential (required). - BLS certification upon hire; RQI credentialing within 30 days. - Demonstrated ability to recognize significant anatomical structures, artifacts, and pathology on ultrasound. - Basic EKG knowledge and proficiency with standard computer applications. - Associate's degree in cardiovascular sonography preferred. - Proficiency in pediatric and/or transesophageal echocardiography preferred; 2 years of cardiac ultrasound experience preferred. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $27.52 – $51.19 (annualized approximately $57,242 – $106,475 at 2,080 hours). - PRN/per-diem day-shift schedule providing flexibility. - Mission-driven work environment within the AdventHealth system. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and outpatient facilities across multiple states, with a focus on whole-person care.
