About this role

AdventHealth Riverview is hiring a full-time RN for its Preoperative unit at its hospital campus in Riverview, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized preoperative care plans based on findings and medical diagnoses. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans to optimize outcomes. - Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established critical care protocols. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. - Document all care activities — assessments, interventions, and outcomes — accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR. - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team and participate in quality improvement initiatives. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Critical care skills appropriate to the preoperative unit population. - EKG knowledge consistent with patient population requirements. - Proficiency with EMR documentation; experience with Cerner or EPIC preferred. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hr ($65,582–$108,659 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off starting Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Riverview is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
