About this role
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the PCU Surgical unit at AdventHealth Tampa supports bedside patient care under registered nurse supervision at this faith-based health system in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy, providing age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culturally-appropriate patient care
- Respond appropriately in clinical emergencies and follow prescribed isolation and infection-control protocols
- Document and report all procedures and nursing history findings to the supervising registered nurse
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff and enforce safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
- Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Current CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (at least one required)
- 1+ year of applicable PCT experience (preferred)
- Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, or monitor technician role (preferred)
