About this role
AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a full-time ICU RN for weekend day shifts (Friday–Sunday, 7am–7pm) at its Calhoun, Georgia campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including observation, physical examination, and history-gathering to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized, SMART-goal-based care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer oral, IV, and IM medications and perform procedures including wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy in accordance with policy.
- Monitor the electronic medical record for new physician orders and diagnostic results, documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time.
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge, including disease process, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and bedside shift reports to ensure care continuity and patient safety.
### What we're looking for
- Active RN licensure (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- 1+ year of prior hospital or acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computerized physician order entry.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
