About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Mammography Technologist at its AHMG Pavilion Westchase breast imaging center in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform 2D and 3D mammography examinations, positioning patients and adjusting technical factors and compression to achieve optimal image quality.
- Follow all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including daily quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate, timely records within the EMR and PACS systems and communicate results or next steps in collaboration with radiologists and the breast imaging team.
- Support patient tracking and follow-up workflows, including recall coordination, additional imaging scheduling, and biopsy scheduling.
- Ensure exam rooms remain clean, stocked, and equipment-ready; perform and document daily system QC checks per regulatory requirements.
- Participate in breast center accreditation preparation, community screening events, and quality improvement initiatives.
### What we're looking for
- Active ARRT registration in both Radiography RT(R) and Mammography RT(M) — both required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations and mammography equipment operation.
- Ability to apply radiation safety principles (time, distance, shielding) to maintain ALARA exposure levels.
