About this role

A part-time Clinical Float Pool Pharmacist role at AdventHealth, based out of the Lake Destiny / Maitland, Florida campus, providing pharmacy coverage across multiple hospital locations on variable shifts. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical pharmacist functions including medication order review, pharmacokinetic dosing, compounding, dispensing, and verification across central, satellite, and IV areas. - Provide direct patient care and participate in interdisciplinary rounds, supporting transitions of care from admission through discharge. - Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team members on safe and effective medication use. - Identify, report, and help resolve medication safety events, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors. - Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents. - Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, stewardship programs, and accreditation activities. ### What we're looking for - Active Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) required; PharmD preferred. - Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate (PharmD) preferred. - At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred. - Proficiency with EHRs, pharmacy informatics systems, and medication automation platforms. - Ability to travel to various AdventHealth locations to support float coverage. - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and clinical documentation skills. ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $50.49–$93.91 (annualized approximately $105,000–$195,000 at 2,080 hours). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off beginning Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and care sites across multiple states, with a strong presence throughout Central Florida.
