About this role

AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for its imaging department in Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring diagnostic image quality and patient safety. - Screen patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance, including completion of all required screening documentation. - Position patients accurately using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques; prepare and administer IV contrast and monitor for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and family members on MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions to promote comfort and cooperation. - Execute daily system quality control checks and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems. - Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and perform routine equipment safety checks in compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements. ### What we're looking for - Active ARRT registration in MRI (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) or ARMRIT certification — required. - Current BLS/CPR certification — required. - 1+ years of experience in radiology with completion of an MRI training program — preferred. - Knowledge of MRI procedures, scanners, safety protocols, and basic IV skills. - Proficiency with EMR and PACS systems; strong computer skills. - Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays. ### What's included - Pay range: $29.04–$54.02/hour ($60,403–$112,362 annualized at 2,080 hours). - PRN/per-diem schedule with day-shift availability. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
