StaffFlex PCU RN Contract Nights $49/HR + Shift Diff (36 Hours a Week)

AdventHealth Waterman is hiring a contract PCU Registered Nurse for night shifts (36 hours/week) at their inpatient facility in Tavares, Florida. ### What you'll do - Conduct ongoing assessments, develop individualized evidence-based care plans, and implement interventions aligned with interdisciplinary goals for progressive care unit patients. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and strict adherence to protocols. - Collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, and families to facilitate timely admissions, discharges, and transfers per hospital policy. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs. - Ensure safe handoff communication, accurate documentation, and compliance with CDC isolation guidelines and PPE protocols. - Serve as a patient advocate while participating in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. - Current BLS/CPR certification required; TNCC preferred. - Strong critical thinking and abstract reasoning skills applied to patient assessment and care plan revision. - Basic computer proficiency and fluency in written and spoken English. ### What's included - Contract pay rate of $49/hr plus shift differential for nights. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid Time Off from day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Waterman is a full-service hospital located in Tavares, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
