About this role

AdventHealth Tampa is hiring a full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse for Med-Surg nights at its Tampa, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Float across Med-Surg units, managing patient flow and supporting timely admissions, discharges, and transfers per hospital policy - Conduct initial patient assessments within required timeframes, initiate consults, and identify teaching and discharge planning needs - Collect comprehensive patient data and unit-specific data to support process improvement initiatives - Maintain safe, effective handoff communications and documentation between care team members - Demonstrate unit-specific clinical competency and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards - Participate in peer interviewing and peer review processes ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license - Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant nursing experience (2+ years acute care preferred) - Valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS certification (required) - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred - Proficiency with EPIC charting system preferred ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $31.53–$52.24 (approximately $65,582–$108,659 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nationally recognized not-for-profit health system operating across 50 hospitals.
