Certified Medical Assistant Cardiology

A Certified Medical Assistant specializing in Cardiology joins AdventHealth's Palms Heart Center at their Palm Harbor, Florida outpatient clinic. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation - Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system - Assist with minor cardiology procedures and ensure accurate same-day documentation - Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and diet instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Support care gap closure and provide whole-care coordination across the patient visit lifecycle ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR/computer systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth's Palms Heart Center is an outpatient cardiology clinic located in Palm Harbor, Florida, operating under AdventHealth Medical Group.
