About this role
AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a full-time Sterile Processing Technician II (1st Shift) at its hospital campus in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
### What you'll do
- Decontaminate soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment per IFUs and established protocols
- Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments and containers for cleanliness and proper function
- Correct instrument sets according to count sheets and instrument tracking systems; maintain inventory for case carts
- Monitor, document, and audit sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments and equipment
- Train new staff on sterilization procedures and ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials
### What we're looking for
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) — required
- Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program — required
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience — required
- High school diploma or equivalent — required; Associate degree preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization standards, surgical instrumentation, and infection control techniques
- Basic computer skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines

- Pay range: $16.42–$26.27/hr ($34,154–$54,642 annualized)
