About this role
AdventHealth Port Charlotte is hiring a full-time Surgical Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive surgical and perioperative patient care at their Port Charlotte, Florida facility.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments including physical examinations, patient histories, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, initiating orders for medications, labs, and diagnostic testing within scope of practice.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care with attention to age-specific needs.
- Coordinate patient care and facilitate efficient patient flow, including discharge planning, alongside physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement activities including outcome analysis.
- Provide patient and family education and counseling regarding treatment plans and health management.
### What we're looking for
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure required.
- Minimum 1 year of related clinical work experience.
- Proficiency with specialized equipment relevant to surgical practice.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and serve as a clinical resource within the care team.
