About this role
A part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role at AdventHealth Murray in Chatsworth, Georgia, performing a broad range of ultrasound exams across a hospital-based radiology department.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per provider orders and established protocols, Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m.–9 p.m.
- Verify patient identity, confirm exam appropriateness, and obtain relevant clinical history before scanning.
- Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to acquire optimal diagnostic images and Doppler data.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and PACS systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and care team members to support accurate diagnosis and continuity of care.
- Perform procedures independently across modalities including abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal, and pediatric sonography.
### What we're looking for
- Active ARDMS or ARRT registry in at least one of: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OBGYN, RVS, RVT, RT(VS)(ARRT), RMSKS, RDMS-PS, or RT(BS)(ARRT).
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Knowledge of ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques.
- Ability to recognize pathological findings and perform independent procedures to radiologist standards.
- Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in a sonography program.
