About this role
AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for cardiac PCU patients.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for and document adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support recovery and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions as required.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- EKG interpretation competency per unit requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-reasoning skills for a fast-paced cardiac environment.
