AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the day shift.
### What you'll do
- Perform venous access procedures and administer infusion therapy, adjusting care plans based on individual patient responses.
- Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and educate patients and families on venous access and infusion therapy.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to uphold clinical standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Resolve staff conflicts using mediation techniques and foster a cohesive, professional work environment.
- Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, identifying development needs and organizing educational programs.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (preferred).
- 1+ year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or other relevant specialty certification (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, financial/productivity management awareness, and proficiency with Electronic Health Records.
