About this role

An Occupational Therapist opportunity is available with AdventHealth at their Apopka, Florida hospital campus, working a Tuesday–Thursday–Friday–Saturday day shift (0900–1930). ### What you'll do - Perform initial and ongoing evaluations using recommended OT techniques and standards of practice. - Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and visit frequency. - Document patient progress accurately and on time using measurable, objective terminology within the EMR. - Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning recommendations, and discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved. - Oversee care delivered by certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides per regulatory and practice standards. - Participate in community events, educational lectures, and performance improvement initiatives that extend clinical expertise beyond the facility. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida OT license (or Occupational Therapist – Temporary license) required. - Master's degree in Occupational Therapy preferred; education level must meet licensure eligibility requirements. - BLS/CPR certification required. - Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), Microsoft Office, and standard clinical documentation. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. - Willingness to serve as a clinical instructor and support evidence-based practice improvements. ### What's included - Pay range: $31.55–$58.69/hour ($65,624–$122,075 annualized). - $5,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment (to qualified candidates). - $1,500 relocation assistance (to qualified candidates). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan and whole-person well-being resources. ### About the practice AdventHealth Apopka is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, nonprofit health network focused on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
