About this role

A Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) joins AdventHealth Carrollwood's Medical/Surgical Unit with Telemetry on the night shift in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform patient care treatments per policy, tailored to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs - Assist the registered nurse in delivering bedside care and identifying patient needs on an acute M/S telemetry unit - Document and report all procedures and nursing history findings in accordance with department policy - Monitor and maintain a clean, safe environment by following isolation protocols, PPE guidelines, and handwashing policies - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and participate in performance improvement activities ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - At least 1 year of PCT or applicable patient care experience (preferred) - Prior bedside experience in an acute care setting, unit secretary, or monitor technician role (preferred) - Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative nursing team under RN direction ### What's included - Compensation range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance starting Day One - Paid time off starting Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Carrollwood is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Tampa, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest not-for-profit Protestant health systems in the United States.
