About this role

AdventHealth Carrollwood is hiring a full-time Unit Coordinator for its Med/Surg Telemetry unit in Tampa, Florida, working a 10am–10pm day shift. ### What you'll do - Coordinate unit operations including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges by managing charts, forms, and electronic health records - Notify physicians and ancillary departments as needed and relay pertinent patient information in a timely manner - Access the medication room to secure medications upon arrival to the floor - Post patient data accurately and respond appropriately in emergency situations - Interact with patients in a manner appropriate to their age, acuity, and cultural background - Support quality standards and participate in performance improvement activities ### What we're looking for - 1+ year of recent hospital experience or comparable work as a health unit coordinator, medical office, or outpatient clinic staff member - High school diploma, GED, or completion of a Health Unit Coordinator course - Working knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer/typing skills - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - Strong organizational skills with neat, legible handwriting - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (preferred) ### What's included - Compensation range: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($33,010–$52,790 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Carrollwood is a full-service community hospital located at 7171 N.
